Chapter 15 - The Unbreakable Vow and the Laughter That Filled the Hall Forever (The End)

One year later.
The historic cathedral in downtown Philadelphia was filled with thousands of
white roses, soft candlelight, and hundreds of respected guests, leaders, and
loyal allies.
The organ swelled into a triumphant march as the grand wooden doors opened.
Little Sophie walked down the aisle as the flower girl, proudly scattering pink
rose petals from her basket, wearing a tiara and a miniature white silk dress.
Behind her walked Clara, breathtakingly radiant in a custom lace bridal gown
that trailed behind her like ocean waves.
At the altar stood Dominic Valente. For the first time in his life, the ruthless
mafia don had a bright, genuine smile across his face.
When Clara reached his side, Dominic took her hand, his thumb gently caressing
her wedding band.
“I, Dominic Valente, take you, Clara, to be my wife, my partner, and my equal.
To protect you, honor you, and cherish you and our daughter for all the days of
my life.”
“I, Clara, take you, Dominic, to be my husband, my protector, and my soulmate.
From this day forward, our family will never walk alone.”
The priest smiled warmly. “By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you
husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.”
Dominic pulled Clara into his arms and kissed his bride as the entire cathedral
erupted into thunderous applause and cheers.
Later that evening, back at the Valente estate, the grand hall was alive with
music, dancing, and celebration.
Beside the study door, the little wooden chair was still there. But it was no
longer pushed into the corner. It was painted in bright gold, sitting proudly
right beside Dominic’s executive desk.
Dominic stood by the study window with Clara in his arms, watching Sophie giggle
as Uncle Marco taught her how to dance on the marble floor.
“Are you happy, my Queen?” Dominic whispered, kissing Clara’s neck gently.
Clara rested her head against his broad chest, listening to the strong, steady
beat of his heart.
“I’m finally home,” Clara replied softly.
And in that vast, magnificent mansion, the silence was broken forever by love,
May you like
laughter, and an unbreakable family.
