Chapter 11 - The Don's Ruthless Retribution and the Fall of the Traitors

Within two hours, the Valente medical team had secured Clara and Sophie in the

private medical wing of the estate, attended by the city’s top trauma surgeons

and pediatricians.

Dominic returned to the lower dungeons beneath the mansion.

Lorenzo hung by chains in the center of the interrogation cell. When the heavy

iron door swung open, Lorenzo looked up, his face battered and bruised from

Marco’s preliminary questioning.

“Dominic... please... we’re family,” Lorenzo begged, shivering in the cold air.

Dominic stood under the single flickering bulb, clean and dressed in a fresh

black suit, looking every bit the untouchable king of the underworld.

“Family protects its own,” Dominic said coldly. “You invited men into my home

who would have executed my daughter for profit.”

“I didn't know she was yours! I swear to God, Dominic, I thought she was just

the maid’s kid!” Lorenzo screamed.

“It wouldn't have mattered if she were a stranger,” Dominic replied with

terrifying finality. “In my house, every life under my roof is under my

protection. You broke the only law that matters.”

Dominic turned around and walked toward the exit.

“Dominic! Don’t leave me here! Dominic!”

Dominic didn't turn back. He looked at Marco standing by the doorway.

“Erase his name from the family records. Strip all his assets. Deliver him to

the federal authorities with a complete dossier of his crimes. Let him spend the

May you like

rest of his life in solitary confinement.”

“Consider it done, boss,” Marco nodded.
