Chapter 13 - The Ultimate Boardroom Takeover: Destroying the Traitors

Two weeks later, the grand boardroom of Reed Global was packed to maximum
capacity for the emergency shareholder summit.
When the double doors opened, Graham walked in, impeccably tailored in a
charcoal three-piece suit, looking powerful, commanded, and completely healed.
And walking proudly beside him, holding his hand with her head held high, was
me—dressed in a sharp navy power suit, the platinum wedding band gleaming under
the boardroom lights.
Eleanor Reed and the remaining conspirators on the board looked as if they had
seen two ghosts.
Graham took his seat at the head of the long mahogany table, with me seated
directly at his right hand.
“Let’s make this brief,” Graham said, his voice ringing with absolute,
undisputed authority. “As of 8:00 AM this morning, federal prosecutors have
formally indicted Marcus Reed on thirty-seven felony counts, including attempted
murder, corporate espionage, and wire fraud. Eleanor Reed has been named as an
unindicted co-conspirator.”
Eleanor stood up, trembling with rage. “This is an outrage! You have no proof!”
I opened my folder and slid a stack of certified financial audits and decrypted
server logs across the center of the table.
“These are the offshore accounts Eleanor used to funnel company funds into
Marcus’s shell corporations,” I announced clearly, looking every traitor on the
board directly in the eye. “Every transaction has been traced, authenticated by
forensic accountants, and handed over to the Department of Justice.”
Eleanor collapsed back into her chair, her face ash-white, as two federal agents
in dark suits entered the back of the boardroom to escort her out.
Graham stood up, towering over the remaining executives.
“From this day forward, Reed Global will operate with total transparency. And as
my first official act as permanent Chairman, I am appointing Avery King-Reed as
the Chief Operating Officer and Co-Managing Partner of Reed Global
Infrastructure.”
The entire boardroom erupted into thunderous applause from the loyal board
members.
Graham looked down at me, his gray eyes filled with pride, love, and utter

devotion. He leaned down before the entire board and kissed the back of my hand.
The battle for the empire was over. And we had won.
