Unbelievable: Melania Trump’s spent $40 million just to do it!
Future U.S. First Lady Melania Trump has signed a $40 million deal with Amazon to produce a documentary about her life.
On January 7, Puck News reported that Melania Trump secured a $40 million agreement with Amazon for a documentary chronicling the life of the incoming First Lady. The project will also feature appearances by her husband, President-elect Donald Trump, and their son, Barron.
In addition to the documentary, the contract covers potential spin-off projects over the next four years.

According to sources cited by Page Six, Disney was also in the running to partner with Melania, offering $14 million, but was ultimately outbid by Amazon.
This project with Amazon signals that Melania is becoming more comfortable opening up to the world.
"She used to be very guarded about what she said... Now, she is more comfortable speaking in public and on television. She is more confident and in complete control of her public image, which she knows is worth millions. She is ready to capitalize on her efforts for this documentary, as well as reveal more about herself," a source said.
The documentary will be directed by Brett Ratner, known for directing the Rush Hour film series, and is slated for release in late 2025.
In addition to being the central subject, Melania will also serve as an executive producer. This role is a result of her insistence on having creative control and final approval over the project, along with a helping hand from her powerful husband.
"I’ve been told the deal also grants her a share of the profits. Her husband helped structure the project," the source noted, referring to the industry practice of sharing backend profits once production costs are recouped.
The film promises to provide an intimate look into the life of the Slovenian-born First Lady. According to sources, the subject is expected to draw massive public interest due to her historically private lifestyle—a factor that drove up the price tag for her personal story.
"She is a private person, but she is ready to utilize what she learned from her modeling days and as the wife of a marketing master. President Trump fully supports all of her ventures," the source added.
Amazon's founder and executive chairman, Jeff Bezos, is reportedly taking a personal interest in the project. Sources suggest the deal helps him restore a friendly relationship with Donald Trump.
On December 19, 2024, Bezos dined with Trump and his long-time business rival, Elon Musk, at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.

Representatives for Melania Trump and Brett Ratner have not yet commented on the reports.
