His performance in the bedroom is reaching a whole new level

He had always locked the door. It was a habit that he had no disconcerting feelings towards. Better safe than sorry he always thought to himself. Even when his roommate asked him why he did it, he answered that he felt better. It never paid him any problem, so why fix what isn’t broken.
One day, in his room on the third floor, which looked over the large atrium in his college residence, he had been listening to some music, and working on his homework, a lethargic task that he did at the most minimal of efforts. His roommate had minutes prior told him he was going out for an hour. He said that was fine, with the hidden glee. As his roommate left, he put on a movie (one he knew only he would like).
As the samurais were preparing to fend off the bandits from raiding the village, there was a loud thud heard from the atrium. He paid it no interest, at first, until another thud was heard, and another, and another… and another.
The consistency of its repetition was growing louder and more infuriating as he was beginning to become annoyed with it. But after a minute of it continuing, his annoyance was replaced by an ominous dread, as the thuds were soon replaced by screams.
The awful sounds were downright horrific, as they reverberated off the walls, shaking the foundations of the whole building. And what frightened him even further was how it wasn’t just one, but many all in almost unison.
He didn’t know what to do. He frantically paced as the screams grew louder, and closer. He wanted to do something, be a hero and save someone, though from the sound of it all, he would end up just another victim the second he opened the door.
The gurgled sounds of death became deafening very fast. As he brought his hands to his head, trying his hardest to think, he froze the second he heard the creaking steps outside his door.
Looking closer, he saw a shadow, and mixed in within it were multiple streams of blood spilling forth through the carpet. There was a pause, as the screams all around continued.
The doorknob twisted. It was met by resistance, as both locks were on. Whoever or whatever was on the other side, tugged and fought with the door another twenty seconds before stopping all together.
As he was readying himself for the thing to crash through the door, ending his life, he was instead met by surprise, as he saw a slip of paper lightly pressed under the door, into his room.
Hesitantly, he approached the door cautiously, avoiding the blood which were now in pools. As he peered at the paper, he realised there were words scribbled on it. Written on it were the words:
YOU LIVE.
