Epstein Files Allege Bill Gates Had STI; Ex-Wife Speaks Out
The name of billionaire Bill Gates has sparked shockwaves after appearing in newly released documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, amid allegations that Gates once contracted a sexually transmitted infection (STI).

Epstein Files Link Bill Gates to "STI" Allegations
According to the BBC, Melinda French Gates—the ex-wife of billionaire Bill Gates—stated that her former husband's appearance in the latest documents linked to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has brought back "very painful times" from her marriage.
In an interview on NPR's Wild Card podcast, she expressed feeling "an unbelievable sadness" regarding the allegations surrounding Epstein.
"I am so happy to be away from all that muck. For me, every time those details come up, it’s hard because it flashes me back to some very, very painful times in my marriage," she said.
She emphasized that individuals named in the documents—including her ex-husband—need to speak out about their involvement with the disgraced billionaire.
Melinda French Gates and Bill Gates divorced in 2021 after 27 years of marriage. According to U.S. media, prior to their separation, Melinda had long been uncomfortable with her husband's ties to Epstein.
The U.S. Department of Justice recently released over 3 million pages of documents from the Epstein files, in which Bill Gates is mentioned alongside several allegations. Notably, one claim made by Epstein alleges that Bill Gates once contracted an STI.
Specifically, an email written as a draft resignation letter from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation mentioned that Epstein had to purchase medication for Bill "to deal with the consequences of having sex with Russian girls."
Another email, which opened with "Dear Bill," complained that Bill Gates had ended their friendship. The email went on to allege that Gates had attempted to hide his STI diagnosis, including from his then-wife, Melinda.
Billionaire Bill Gates Denies Claims
However, Bill Gates has strongly rejected the allegations, calling them "completely absurd and entirely false."
A spokesperson for Gates stated: "These documents merely demonstrate Epstein's frustration over failing to establish a long-term relationship with Gates, and show that he would do anything to trap and defame Mr. Gates."
Over the years, Bill Gates and his representatives have downplayed his connection to Epstein. Gates has previously admitted they only shared "a few dinners" to discuss a potential charitable project, which ultimately never materialized.

The latest document release—comprising emails, logs, and photographs—further exposes the vast web of connections Epstein maintained with celebrities, business leaders, and global heads of state. This network included former U.S. President Bill Clinton, Britain's Prince Andrew, and even U.S. President Donald Trump.
In 2008, Epstein was convicted of soliciting a 14-year-old girl for prostitution. In 2019, he died by suicide in a New York prison cell while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges, fueling widespread skepticism and conspiracy theories.
